According to Veo’s recent rider survey, 60% of Newark riders do not own or have access to a car, showing how shared scooters are filling a critical transportation gap for many. Moreover, over half of Newark riders say that Veo allows them to reach important places like work or school affordably.
18% of Veo rides in Newark directly replace car trips, meaning Veo’s service has replaced tens of thousands of car trips in 2023 alone. For every Veo trip that replaces a car trip, there is one less car on the road causing congestion and taking up a parking space.
About half (49%) of Newark riders have been able to decrease car travel because of the availability of shared scooters. With more people using sharing scooters instead of cars, we are improving air quality and creating a healthier environment for everyone.
